~Generation Next Child Care is CLOSED on ALL Federal Holidays.

We follow P.G. County Public School's closing schedule ONLY when it pertains to weather related conditions. ~

  • Holiday Break: Monday- Friday, Dec. 23-27

  • New Year Break: Monday-Friday, December 30- January 3

  • M.L. King Birthday: Monday, January 20

  • Presidents Day: Monday, February 17

​

  • Spring Break: April 14-18

  • Easter: Monday, April 21

​

  • Memorial Day: Monday, May 26

  • Juneteenth: Thursday, June 19

  • Independence Day: Friday, July 4

  • Labor Day: Monday, September 1

  • Indigenous Peoples' Day: Monday, Oct. 13

  • Veteran's Day: Tuesday, November, 11 

  • Thanksgiving Break: Wednesday-Friday, November, 26-28

  • Holiday Break: Monday- Friday, Dec. 22-26

  • Yearly Professional Development: Monday- Tuesday, Dec 29-30

  • New Year Break: Wednesday-Friday, Dec 31- January 2

Personal days and vacation dates will be noted in Handbook calendars

Providers are allowed (2) two weeks paid vacation, up to (2) two sick and (2) two personal days per year. Full details in Parent handbook.

What are Professional Development days? These are days your providers/teachers take to complete various in-person duties during "(week) day hours" to include but limited to: continued training, certification updates, medical appointments, etc outside of sick, personal and vacation leave.
